The Norfolk Tank Museum is a small museum located in Forncett St. Peter, which is a village situated about 15 miles south of Norwich in Norfolk, England. The museum has a collection of tanks, military vehicles, and equipment from the Second World War and later conflicts.
The museum was founded in 2013 by military vehicle enthusiast Stephen MacHaye, who started collecting tanks and other military vehicles in the 1980s. The collection has since grown to include a variety of vehicles, including a replica Tiger tank, a working Sherman tank, and several armoured cars and transport vehicles.
The Norfolk Tank Museum is a popular destination for military history enthusiasts and families with children. It is open to the public on weekends and bank holidays from March to November, and on selected weekdays during the summer months. Visitors should check the museum’s website for up-to-date information on opening times and admission fees.
The Norfolk Tank Museum try wherever possible to create a hands-on experience and you can even sign up now for a 3-hour Tank Experience.
