The Holburne Museum boasts and impressive collection of art set in a glamourous manor house in Bath. Featured in the ‘Bridgerton’ TV show, the manor is stunning and means the sights start before you even enter the museum. Inside the museum you will find lots of high quality art ranging from Tudor portraits to modern sculptures all to get stuck into and learn about.
The Museum has regularly updated exhibits so no two visits are the same if you spread them out a little. The museum also explores the family history of the Holburnes, who lived in the manor, and their careers which is very interesting and slightly disturbing as it looks deeply into British colonial history.
They offer brilliant art courses so if you feel inspired by the art why not give it a go yourself! There is also a lovely, modern café to round off your trip with coffee and cake. Overall the museum is a great addition to a day out in Bath!
