Where can I find The Moone High Cross?

The site is located in the village of Moone, which is located a short drive from the town of Athy, which is serviced by regular bus and rail links.

This beautiful cross gives us an insight into ancient Irish culture and the way they worshipped. We can see this through their Celtic inscriptions, along with biblical symbols. The cross is located inside a medieval church and was reerected in the early 1800s, after different portions of the cross had been discovered, nowadays it is erected to its original size.
