Where is the Newarke Houses Museum?

The Newarke Houses Museum is only a short walk from Leicester City Centre and in the heart of the De Montfort University area of the city.

The history of Leicestershire is shown in the comprehensive collection in the Regimental Galleries. This includes an evocative WW1 trench and The Morrison Shelter. You will also learn about the soldiers and their war experience. Head to the Newarke Houses Gallery and enjoy the amazing portrait of Daniel Lambert in 1806. He was well known for his strength and skill in many animals so head to Leicester Museums & Galleries and learn more about him.
