Scottish Submarine Centre in Helensburgh

Come feast your eyes upon a Submarine and bring out your inner child! The Scottish Submarine Centre is located only twelve miles from Her Majesty’s Naval Base at Faslane. The centre was opened in 2014 and showcases both in-service and veteran submarines. The facility also aims to provide an educational journey into the life of these magnificent maritime vehicles.

How do I get to the Scottish Submarine Centre?

The Centre is located within the town of Helensburgh, which is easily accessible from Glasgow via train.

The facility is independently run by a charity and a small group of dedicated volunteers and also aims to develop and maintain relationships with the local communities. The information and expertise within the centre have been provided and explained by experienced family members of and members of the Royal Navy. So, you can be safe in the knowledge that you are in safe and educated hands throughout your visit.

The centre also provides unique exhibitions throughout the year. Some of its most famous are the likes of the X51 HMS Stickleback. The centre is open throughout the year from 10 am till 4 pm Tuesday to Sunday. Admission prices start from £6 for adults and £4 for children.
