The Sproson Art Gallery in St Andrews

The Sproson Art Gallery in St Andrews

Sproson Gallery & Framers first opened its doors in 1981, when the shop operated as a bespoke custom picture framing business. Since then, the business has branched out and blossomed into a free art gallery, offering tourists and residents alike the chance to see some stunning local art. Thanks to the connections they made in the art world, they’re able to showcase a diverse selection of art covering many different topics and genres. The gallery shows exhibitions (including solo shows) regularly, with paintings available to buy if you so wish. If a painting doesn’t take your fancy, they also sell ceramics, jewellery, limited edition prints, and artists’ cards.

Where can I find the Sproson Art Gallery?

It's located in the heart of St Andrews, opposite the St Andrews Brewing Co. on South Street.
  • Open Tuesday to Saturday: 10 am-5 pm
  • Entry: Free
