Where can I find The Story Museum in Oxford?

The Story Museum is located in the heart of Oxford on Pembroke Street, just over a 10-minute walk east of Oxford Railway Station.

Youngsters around ages 0-5 years will particularly enjoy the Small Worlds section, where they will be immersed in their favourite stories and picture books, with classics like Michael Rosen’s We’re Going On A Bear Hunt. The older kids will enjoy some of the other galleries the museum has to offer, including The Whispering Wood, taking you on an interactive story of the history of oral storytelling. And then there’s the Enchanted Library, where you’ll discover an immersive story space hidden behind every bookshelf!

Story Museum Oxford History

This curious museum was originally opened in 2003, operating as a virtual museum, and moved to its current site on Pembroke Street in 2009. It has coordinated a number of critically received projects, working with famous and award-winning authors and illustrators, including Terry Pratchett and Jacqueline Wilson!
