The Tenement House Glasgow

This is the perfect day out for any history lover! Have you ever walked around Glasgow, or any victorian city, and wondered what these buildings and tenements looked like in years gone by? Or maybe you live in a flat, and often wonder what it was like when other people lived there. If so, The Tenement House in Glasgow is the place for you! Located in Garnethil and nestled in between the hundreds of other tenement flats in the area, this provides a unique backdrop for the site. Although, when you get inside, the house has been frozen in time to look like it is still placed in the 19th century.

Where can I find the Tenement House in Glasgow?

The house is located just a ten-minute walk from Buchanan Street in the City Centre, this area is well serviced by bus and rail links.

Thanks to its previous owner, Miss Agnus Toward, this building has been perfectly preserved as if it was still in its heyday. She had taken care of all the possessions in the house immaculately and would often have kept objects that others would have thrown away. Entry into the house is priced at £8.50 for adults and £6 for concessions. So why not come down and step back in time, to an era when this city was in its prime, best of all, you can even find a Jar of jam made in 1929!
