Transition Extreme, based in Aberdeen, provides the perfect introduction to indoor climbing and is recognised by Mountaineering Scotland as a Regional Hub. Their superb facilities for skateboarding, BMX, inline skating, high rope course and climbing, provide a great place for everyone to let off steam, enjoy new challenges and develop new skills.  Transition Extreme is a multi-award-winning youth charity dedicated to engaging with young people via participation in extreme sports. At £10 for a two-hour session – their indoor climbing wall will help you build your core strength, increase flexibility and burn some calories.

Where can I go indoor climbing in Aberdeen?

Transition Extreme have a fantastic indoor facility for everyone who wants to learn the ropes, and by using Transition Extreme sports centre you are helping support young people to channel their energy and develop their skills.

As part of the climbing wall experience, participants can also work towards gaining NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes) certificates and work through different levels. The awards suitable for ages between 7 and 16 encourage learning rope work and how to use equipment appropriately to improve climbing skills and levels of ability. 

For a fun family day out, birthday party or team building event, their outdoor high rope course offers a variety of exciting and challenging activities.
