Crieff Hydro is a family-owned business with unique beginnings. Initially, the resort was a hydropathic spa opened in 1868 by Dr Meikle. Over the course of hundreds of years and several generations with the current CEO being Dr Meikle’s grand-grand-grand-grandnephew, services offered on-site have diversified. Slowly and steadily, they built a resort with various accommodation styles – hotels and self-catering lodges across the estate, outdoor activities and several options for food and drink, such as The Terrace and The Meikle.
