What if I'm claustrophobic?

This is a common concern, however, you are in complete control of the lights, music and door. So you can float with the light on and the door open. Most people's fears melt away once the experience begins, and end up with the door shut and the light off anyway. In fact, the float tank is considered a great way of treating claustrophobia!

The float tanks contain a super-saturated Epsom-salt solution with a depth of 25cm. Both the solution and the air within the tank are heated to skin temperature (35.5 degrees Celsius), so as you begin to settle, it’s difficult to actually determine which parts of your body are in the water and which are not, leaving you feeling completely weightless.

Many find the float tanks a source of incredible, life-changing therapy because they often come with endless health benefits, both physical and mental. They are scientifically proven to relieve chronic pain, depression, anxiety and stress. This makes the float tanks extremely popular with athletes; they are even used by the GB Olympic teams! They are a great way to help recover from injury and sharpen your mental state.
