Where can I find underwater foraging courses in Cornwall?

Freedive UK has a great one day course in Newquay to teach you the fundamentals of marine foraging.

Taught by expert divers and overseen by Ian Donald, author of ‘Underwater foraging – freediving for food’, this is the perfect learning experience for anyone interested in sustainability, sea life, and making interesting (and tasty) use of their freediving skills. This course does not make use of spearguns but focuses on all the edible sea life available to be gathered by hand, introducing you to a world of fresh seafood you may otherwise never have known about. A great day out that will leave you with a wealth of knowledge you can carry with you into the future, this is a course well worth adding to your stack!

  • £100 per person and open to group bookings on request
  • Flexible to bad weather since you can still learn a lot about shoreline foraging if diving is not possible (though it usually is)
  • Visit the Freedive UK website to read more about this and their many other courses!
