The Van Morrison trail is a wonderful opportunity for you to visit some of the places that Morrison knew as a child growing up in East Belfast. This 3.5km trail will take you on a journey through the east Belfast of Van’s youth. The trail should take about two hours to complete, so wear a comfortable pair of shoes and be prepared for the weather – it isn’t always sunny in Belfast!

In his own words, “Belfast is my home. It is where I first heard the music that influenced and inspired me, it is where I first performed and it is somewhere I have referred back to many times in my songwriting over the past 50 years.” The Trail is a wonderful opportunity for you to visit some of the places that Morrison knew as a child growing up in this part of east Belfast.
