Are you interested in machinery and engines? Well the Fiordland Vintage Machinery Museum is the ideal place for you! Get up close to lots of fascinating historical machines, including vintage tractors and motorbikes. This is an ideal, yet unique, stop for a petrolhead too!

Where is the Museum located?

The Fiordland Vintage Machinery Museum is located on the Sandy Brown Road in Te Anau. If you’re struggling to find it, just look for the large windmill on the corner and you should find it in no time!

Halfway between Queenstown and Milford Sound, you’d be silly not to stop in and stretch your legs on your way through! Exhibits include over 60 working tractors, a selection of early road graders and motor bikes, a massive collection of early machinery, a fully operational Blacksmith Shop, displays of Te Anau’s early history including the first telephone exchange and other memorabilia, Te Anau’s first school building, etc.
