Visit the Central Bank of Ireland Museum in Dublin

This specially curated exhibition will take you on a journey of discovery from the early history of the Central Bank right through to the present day. It will explain how 75 years of public service is captured by our Mission statement, “We serve the public interest by maintaining monetary and financial stability while ensuring that the financial system operates in the best interests of consumers and the wider economy.”

How much is admission?

You’re in luck! Nothing at all! Admission to the museum is completely free of charge, however any donation is very much appreciated.

As you explore this engaging exhibition you will learn how the Central Bank began life with initially limited powers and functions but ultimately grew in stature to become one of Ireland’s most important public institutions. Using rare video footage and previously unseen photographs, many drawn from our Archive, visitors will leave with a fascinating insight into the pivotal role the Central Bank has played in Irish public life through periods of economic growth and at times, financial crisis and controversy.
