Visit the Snapshot Camera Museum in Waikato

Are you interested in cameras and photography? Well then Snapshot’s Camera Museum is the museum for you! It’s sure to be a uniquely fascinating experience. The museum has long been a dream of owner Graham Boswell and on April 13, 2018 it became a reality when it was officially opened during Snapshot’s 90th birthday celebrations. Cameras on display are from Graham Boswell’s personal collection (accumulated over 50 years) and pride of place is a collection of Kodak cameras spanning a period of 110 years.

How much is admission to the museum?

Absolutely nothing! You’re in luck! The museum is also a functioning camera shop and is open while the shop is open, completely free of charge.

The Camera Museum is open to the public at no charge during store opening hours. However it is closed during camera classes or when the studio is in use because it shares space with our studio/classroom. Please call if you are making a special trip to visit the museum to make sure it will be open. From time to time exhibits may be swapped out to provide more interest. If you have a private collection you would like to loan the museum for a short period of time please contact Graham Boswell at Snapshot.
