With over ropes and routes for people of all abilities, it is the perfect place to either try something completely new or just climb again! Whether you are looking for some free climb bouldering action or you’re wanting to have a go at rock climbing with ropes harnessing you in, Parthian Climbing has it all.

Where can I go wall climbing in Manchester?

The Parthian Climbing is Manchester's top climbing centre, with climbing opportunities for all ages and all occasions. It's just over a mile from Piccadilly Station - take 8 stops on bus 205 from Piccadilly to St Benedict's and walk for a further 3 minutes.

Parthian Climbing is jam-packed with awesome walls for you to try including :

125 of the best top rope & auto-belay routes.
70 premium lead routes catering for all grades.
80 boulder problems to challenge every level.

Rock Climbing Tips

If this is your first-time rock climbing, then here are some tips to have you reaching new heights in no time:

Make sure your weight is on your feet, as the lower body is far stronger than the upper body.
Give yourself a chance to rest – rather than constantly finding somewhere to place your feet, pick somewhere to plant and then plan your next move carefully, and keep your arms straight as much as possible to give them a chance to recover.
Make sure to stretch! Flexibility, especially in the hips, is a massive help in giving you more foothold options.

Once you’ve tired yourself out zipping up and down the walls and reaching new heights, you can rest up in the cafe at Parthian Climbing! They also have a shop where you can buy all the things you may need if you’re getting really into the world of climbing. But if you don’t feel like buying your own equipment just yet you can also hire while you’re here for reasonable prices.
