Weaving Workshop in Stirling

Weave a Tartan scarf in just one day with this fantastic workshop in Stirling! Design your own tartan pattern using their beautiful collection of Shetland wool and then get weaving to create it with the help of their lovely team of weavers! They also offer 30-minute weaving taster sessions if you’re not sure weaving is for you, maybe try one and see if you like it then come back for more. As well as a course focused on design and a workshop where you can weave a scarf from hand-dyed yarn. Tea and coffee are provided during the workshop to fuel your creativity. If you’re looking to pick up a new and interesting skill this could be the perfect activity to add to your stack!

Coorie Creative are a wonderful organisation who are passionate about helping victims of trauma heal through the therapeutic effects of crafting and doing great work in the local community. Their workshops are the perfect place to start as a beginner or even meet new friends in the crafting community.

Coorie’s new home is in Stirling’s Thistle Centre, right next to the bus station and a short walk from the train station. With Stirling city centre right on their doorstep, you have plenty to explore in this historic area right outside Coorie Creative’s workshop. Why not wrap yourself up in your new scarf and set off into the city? Whether you’d like to stretch your legs at nearby King’s Park, climb up to explore the imposing Castle on the hill, or simply stop for dinner after your workshop, Stirling has plenty to offer!
