If you want to see some beautiful, rare birds in all their glory then don’t miss out on a visit to the lovely Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre! Their aviary is home to Barn Owls, Hawks and more so there are lots of birds to have a look at and, if you want, have a go flying. Included in the entrance price is a lovely woodland walk in which you can explore and find lots of local nature.
Where can I get hands on experience flying birds?
The Rutland Falconry offers hands on courses starting from £45pp that let you get to know, fly, and have a great experience with some beautiful birds!
If you book in advance they offer lots of separate experiences. They offer guided tours in the day and evening, a tour of their stunning big cats, and even full day courses getting to know the birds! For a truly memorable experience we are sure the Rutland Falconry will be a smash hit and for even more fun make sure you call and book in advance!

Some fun facts about owls!
- Owls don’t have “eyeballs” like the rest of us. They actually have more binocular-like tubes that help them see further!
- A group of owls is known as a “parliament”.
- Owls can turn their head 135 degrees in each direction meaning they have 270 degrees of vision!
