Scuba Diving Lessons in London

Want to learn something new? Why not learn to scuba dive! London City Scuba Club offer courses for all levels of BSAC diving. As these courses take approximately 13-15 weeks to complete, they try to run two at any time. This method then allows them to efficiently complete a dry week and then a wet week per course. If you are new to SCUBA diving, you will join the club as an Ocean Diver under training, but if you have already obtained a driving licence from another agency, you may complete a “crossover” and therefore may be inducted at a different level.

The first course in the BSAC programme is the Ocean diver. This will start with you learning all about the club, safety in and around the water, the effects of the additional pressure underwater and the use of all of the equipment. At all times London City Scuba Club tries to have a one to one ratio of student to the instructor in the water, but it will never be more than three to one meaning you will receive a high standard of tuition always.

Where can I learn to scuba dive in London?

London City Scuba Club is a great place to learn to scuba dive over 13-15 weeks and has the motto of "Excellence through repetition".

London City Scuba Club is a BSAC diving school and club and has been around since 1990. They are a small but mighty business and have had members starting from all levels. The instructors here have a great depth of knowledge and experience, and one of them is also a qualified PADI and HSA (handicapped SCUBA Association) instructor as well as BSAC. For that reason, they can accept people with disabilities but will have to do a full assessment of your needs and abilities before they plan a course for you.

To ensure the highest level of safety possible, all lessons in the pool are managed throughout with at least one instructor in the water at all times, surface cover on the poolside, and we also have a Lifeguard (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or Pool Responder certificate) in attendance supplied by Fusion Lifestyle. Fusion has a fully equipped First Aid room and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The club has emergency oxygen on hand during all lessons.
