David Copperfield by Charles Dickens

17 - 20 August, 2022
DAVID COPPERFIELD by Charles Dickens  _adapted by Alastiar Cording_ David Copperfield is one of Charles Dickens' best loved and most autobiographical novels.   Alastair Cording's stage adaptation presents the classic tale with humour, pathos, kindness and cruelty, following the hero on a journey from adolescence to adulthood.    Exploring themes of loyalty, love and resilience in the face of betrayal and hardship, the audience is guided through this heart-warming story by the captivating, vibrant and engaging characters who shape Copperfield's life: Mr MiCawber, Peggotty, Betsey Trotwood and the notorious Uriah Heep. The Riverside Players have been presenting theatre classics in the open air for 71 years.
