The best place for a hike in Kerry, and one of the best spots in the country, is the McGillycuddy Reeks. The Reeks Guiding Company offer a fantastic range of guided walks and hikes across Ireland's highest mountain range, including Carrauntoohil and the Eastern Reeks.

John O Sullivan was born and raised in the foothills of the McGillycuddy Reeks, your local guide has been climbing the Reeks for decades and knows the area like the back of his hand. This rugged and beautiful area is home Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil at 1039m! The Reeks has a variety of landscapes that make for an ideal hiking location for all purposes, from simple walks to challenging adventures.

Hike through Ireland’s highest mountains with a guided walk of Carrauntoohil – this is a challenging, but rewarding trip, with local knowledge and fascinating stories during the ascent to supplement the spectacular scenery. If you’ve already experienced Carrauntoohil, then try your hand at scrambling on the Eastern Reeks!
