This fascinating facility is located within Victoria Park and houses fossilised remains of an ancient forest. Here you can see the perfectly preserved tree stumps, that are thought to be around 300 million years old. They were discovered when a road was being paved for the park, back in 1887.

The facility is located in Victoria Park, near Whiteinch, which is serviced by regular bus and rail links.

The site is managed by Glasgow City Council, with the help of Fossil Grove Trust. They work together to conserve the fossils and provide the best overall visitor experience. There are plans by Glasgow City Council to restructure the building and revamp its current look, these are thought to cost in the region of £3 million.
