The Pencil Box is Bute’s smallest gift shop, offering a range of great items for any visitors to the island. The shop started life as a traditional style BT telephone box. Since their popularity has faded, they lovingly renovated this box into a surprisingly well stocked gift shop. They sell books, local crafts, greeting cards, sweets and confectionary, gifts and souvenirs, and even eggs! It’s worth a visit during your trip to the beautiful island of Bute.
