For all the budding street artists out there, this Glasgow walking tour is an exciting way to discover this beautiful city and see some of the amazing street art it’s famous for!

How can I find the Glasgow Street Art Walking tour?

The tour takes off from 81 Mitchell Street in Glasgow city centre, located conveniently next to the wind turbines mural. If you're booking a private tour you can also adjust the meeting point to suit you.

Less about history and buildings, and more about the real stories of the people who live here, this isn’t your average city tour. Your quirky journey will take you under bridges, across rivers, and into alleyways to see work from famous artists and beginners alike. This is the perfect tour for visitors who want to discover a different side of Glasgow!

Glasgow's famous murals

Glasgow’s first mural was made over a decade ago in 2008, where the collection slowly grew and turned into its own mural trail in 2014. Some of the famous murals that you’ll see on the trail include:

  • Saint Mungo – made by Australian artist Smug, this beautiful, realism-style piece depicts Glasgow’s patron saint Mungo in modern clothing.
  • Strathclyde University’s “Wonderwall” mural – there are three different murals that tell the story of Strathclyde Universities’ famous alumni, celebrating the diversity of its international community and students.
  • Fellow Glasgow Residents – one of Glasgow’s biggest murals, this massive piece depicts all of the animals that can be found in Glasgow’s parks and green spaces, from foxes, deer, squirrels and badgers.

Celebrating Glasgow’s past, but focusing mainly on Glasgow today, the same company also runs a number of other unique walking tours, including The Dark Side of Glasgow, the Mackintosh tour and the Glasgow Film tour.
