Blastacars Go Karting – Hamilton

Blastacars in Hamilton is home to one of the first indoor drift go kart tracks in the whole of New Zealand, Blastacars is for all types of drivers with a huge range of ability. There are 3 different speed karts to choose from when booking, starting off with the kids go kart which is made for children between the age 8 and 12 years old. Secondly is the standard go kart which is for drivers who are not considered pro, this particular kart is a 270cc Honda engine and is sure to get the adrenaline pumping when flying around the track. Last but not least is the pro kart, this is for drivers with tonnes of experience and who love a thrill, you will be flying around the track in a 390cc Honda engine kart trying to beat all other competitors.

 

Where can i find Indoor Go Karting in Hamilton?

Right in the middle of Hamilton is a rare Go Karting site called Blastacars, they are open 7 days a week and promises to be a rare opportunity to drive in there very similar like go kart vehicles.

 

Go Karting Tips

  • Straight lines are the shortest route to victory
  • Never tap the brakes on turning
  • Find a comfortable sitting position
  • Wear comfortable clothing
  • Be brave on the pedals
  • Keep hands firm on wheel
  • Keep your hands at “quarter to three position” and don’t let go
  • Use every centimetre of the track available to you

 

 

There is a “black car license” which is for drivers who are considered confident behind the wheel of the 390cc karts, to fit the criteria for the black car license you must show the following abilities, you maintain consistent when drifting on the race lines, avoid contact with all other karts on the track, obey all marshal’s instructions and you come into the pits slowly. These are just a few of the things needed to perfect when wanting a black license card.

 

  • Standard prices will begin at $39 for 15 minutes
  • Kids prices will begin at $29 for 15 minutes
  • Pro karts will cost $49 for 15 minutes
  • Longer is available and prices will inflate depending on how long you wish to drive
