Visit the Sculpture Park in Waikato

The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum provides an Art-in-Nature experience with over 100 sculptures and installations within one of New Zealand’s largest outdoor galleries.  Its 2km trail winds amongst a landscape of ponds, cliffs, rocks and flowering shubs and thousands of trees created from a former quarry.  Perfect for a family picnic or time-out with friends.  The park offers opportunities for children to interact with nature in creative ways.

When is the park open?

You’re in luck! The park is open seven days a week, from 10:00 to 17:00. So come on down today and enjoy admiring the sculptures on show.

The Art-in-Nature Arboretum Trust runs the park, providing environmental and creative inspiration for all ages.  Sustainability of nature and art are the driving forces of the park. Formed from derelict land, its trees are now protected long-term for carbon sequestration. The Sculpture Park also offers opportunities for Corporate/business events and team building sessions. The perfect venue to build team morale, productivity, and stimulate creative problem solving.
