With a brand new large-scale play park, takeaway cafe, and gorgeous walking trails that wind throughout the Teviot Valley, Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre is definitely worth adding to the list of places for families to visit in the Scottish Borders. Harestanes offers a perfect day out for the family, with plenty of fun to be had for children of all ages and abilities, as well as stunning scenery for adults to admire.

Harestanes is at the top of the list when it comes to accessible play for children in the Scottish Borders. The newly constructed playpark contains over 50 brand new pieces of innovative and exciting play features for every child to entertain themselves with.

There is also a wide variety of play features for children with disabilities and additional special support needs, which includes the only wheelchair swings in the Scottish Borders and a sensory boardwalk. In addition to all of this, there is also an agility trail, a picnic area, and a play garden for toddlers.
