Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is truly a sight to behold – it’s the largest cathedral in the UK and remarkably the 5th largest in Europe. The Cathedral is famous all across the globe and a must-visit for any newcomers to Liverpool. There’s a varied programme of events to choose from –  take part in morning/afternoon prayer services if you choose to worship, or instead enjoy the rotating art installations and stunning architecture. Fancy seeing Liverpool from another perspective? Opt-in for the Tower Experience and take in unbelievable views from 500ft above sea level. The Tower Experience also includes the Great Space Film detailing the cathedral’s fascinating past and how it was built, and a trip to the Bell Chamber featuring the world’s heaviest peal of bells.

Where can I find Liverpool Cathedral?

Liverpool Cathedral is about a thirty-minute walk from Liverpool City Centre.

The Cathedral also has food options if you’re feeling peckish. The Welford Bistro offers a delicious selection of hot food and drinks with an all-day brunch menu (even a traditional style roast dinner on Sundays!). There’s also a takeaway available in the Cathedral Main Space. Both offer delicious locally sourced food and coffee, so there are plenty of options for everyone. Although the cathedral is free to enter, the tower and audio tour is recommended for the full experience.
