NI Food Tours and Cooking Classes in County Down

If visiting Northern Ireland for the first time or passing through the area, come on a Northern Ireland Food Tour and get a taste of the food of County Down! The area with the most award-winning Producers and Restaurants than anywhere else in Northern Ireland!

Why should I take part in a food workshop with NI Food Tours?

NI Food Tours allow visitors from all corners of the globe to come along and get a taste of the culture in County Down!

The local tour guide for NI Food Tours, Tracey, has an in-depth knowledge of where to find great local Producers, where visitors will go and hear their stories and taste their produce! Visitors will sample foods ranging from single estate whiskey to artisan bread and everything in between! Stop off for a bite to eat at a local award-winning restaurant where the focus is very fresh and very local! The NI Food Tour coach will take visitors along the stunning Strangford Lough coastline and the guide will keep everyone entertained along the way on their food journey!

NI Food Tours also offers Irish bread-making classes for visitors to join Tracey and visit her thatched barn in Strangford Lough. Upon arrival, guests will be offered a warm Irish welcome and enjoy a nice cuppa and some homemade treats! Once getting settled, visitors will get their aprons on and start off by making some traditional Irish Fruit Soda Cake! While the Soda Cake is baking, it’s then time to make some potato bread, or fadge as it is known in Ireland. Add any fillings of your choice to the potato mix!

After making all of this and more, visitors will get the chance to sit down and enjoy a tasting session of their own food! Take home all of your products and also copies of each recipe so you can make them again and again!

  • Bread making workshop £50 per person
