Why take a ride on the Sea Tractor?

This third-generation hydraulic sea tractor is the only one in the world- experience stunning coastal scenery on a trip to remember!

Designed in 1969 by Robert Jackson CBE (a pioneer of the nuclear power station programme in the 50s) in exchange for a case of champagne, it is a historic icon. The tractor is the best way to arrive through the surf to Burgh island from Bigbury-on- sea where you can enjoy a drink in the historic Pilchard inn or at the Burgh island hotel.
