Are you an aviation enthusiast looking for a great day out? The Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum is the right place for you and deserves a place in your stack. With buildings for RAF Bomber Command, RAF Coastal Command & Air-Sea Rescue, Royal Observer Corps, and 446th Bomb Group USAAF all in close proximity to one another, you will have lots to see. Whether you only want to spend the day in the hangars or maybe you’re more interested in a peaceful river-side walk there is definitely something for everyone here.
Providing you with a fully immersive experience there are some “hands-on” activities in the hangars for children, and a small sit-in fun aircraft and boat outdoors. When members are present in the Link Trainer Room it might be possible to have a “flight” in a WWII simulator for a donation. Along with all the sights to see there is also a café done in the style of a 1940s NAFFI which makes for a more interesting dining experience. Dogs are also welcome to the museum provided your furry friend is kept on a leash.
