It’s time to knock off archery from your bucket list and release your inner Robin Hood and Katniss Everdeen. The Sherwood Archers Club has the right course for you to learn a new skill, find a new passion or just have some fun doing something new. The beginner course lasts for four sessions and costs a total of £60 per person, so why not go with all your friends and learn something new and fun together.

Where can I try out archery in the Nottinghamshire area?

You will find excellent qualified coaches at the Sherwood Archers Club with 2 County Coaches, as well as County Judge and a Regional Judge. With their help, you will be a pro with a bow and arrow in no time!

The Sherwood Archers foundation was originally founded in 1832 when a group of ladies and gentlemen at a town meeting decided to form an archery society in Nottinghamshire. And since then the Club has only grown and now hosts many competitions and community events.

Included as part of the course are insurance, a loan of equipment, and instruction from qualified coaches, so you’re all set to start your archery journey. It is important to note that you must be able to attend all 4 sessions of the beginner’s course you choose as The Sherwood Archers Club will not be able to offer to catch up sessions. Just to add a bit of competition to the course, all successful candidates will be presented with a certificate of achievement at the end, so all is to play for!

  • All courses with 2 qualified coaches to ensure the best and safest time
  • Courses available for beginners or practice for more advanced archers
