Discovery Centre in Livingston

The Almond Valley site’s farms, woodlands, and green areas stretch for about a mile on each side of the Almond River. The ancient structures of Livingston Mill and the accompanying Mill Farm are at their centre. This farm is home to numerous friendly farm animals that are always eager to meet new guests. Elsewhere on the property, there are a variety of one-of-a-kind and innovative play areas nestled among the fields and gardens.

Why should I got to Almond Valley?

Farm animals, play areas, green spaces, and an imaginative museum brimming with items to prod, sniff, shake, and explore!

A family-friendly museum on a peaceful riverside site with friendly farm animals, a working watermill and interactive displays. Explore fields and woodland walks, join in daily demonstrations and activities, and let the kids go wild in playgrounds, pedal carts and trampolines. Take a trip by tractor, ride the narrow-gauge railway, explore the museum, or bounce around in the indoor soft play area. There are lots to see and do at Almond Valley indoors and out.

As a special extra to your visit, groups of between 15 and 30 adults and children can enjoy a special encounter with a very friendly alpaca, then share the delights of a tasty tea in your own private party space!
