Llanerchaeron Gardens & Museum

If you’re looking to relax or explore the Welsh countryside and learn a fascinating piece of it’s history, then we’ve got the perfect activity for your stack. Llanerchaeron Estate, near the costal town of Aberaeron is an estate dating back 400 years, with beautiful gardens to relax in, lush green park and woodlands to explore and the Georgian villa discover.

What's the nicest garden in Wales?

Head down to the Aberaeron area in Ceredigon for one of Wales' great gardens and a lovely walk through the woodlands.

In the elegant villa walls you’ll learn about 18th century life which was home to the Parry family for generations. Unchanged for 200 years, see pristine artefacts and family heirlooms, their own brewery and salting house and more. Unwind in the romantic walled gardens, with ancient fruit trees, herbs and flora or unwind with a picnic next to the ornamental lake. The site is a hub for wildlife, where a variety of birds lay their nests and the wild meadows bloom in the spring. The home farm is a great place for the kids to enjoy, where you can introduce them to a range of friendly farm animals. Cap off your visit in Conti’s cafe on the banks of the river Aeron, with a fantastic menu of locally, freshly produced drinks and snacks in a picturesque spot.
