The facility contains the Museum of Piping, showcasing almost 300 years of Piping history. Most of its artefacts are from national museums across Scotland. Here you can see pieces of piping history that are unrivalled in any museum across the world.

Where can I find the National Piping Centre?

The centre is located on McPhater Street, a few minutes' walk from Buchanan bus station and Cowcaddens Subway Station.

Their impressive collection of artefacts includes the oldest surviving chanter of the Highland bagpipes in the world. There is also a fantastic display of Bagpipes from across Scotland, mainland Europe and the British Isles. Visitors can also learn the in-depth history of the manufacture of bagpipes and their sheet music. So what are you waiting for?
