The Shipwreck Treasure Museum in Cornwall houses over 8,000 salvaged finds pulled from over a hundred shipwrecks by deep-sea divers, including the only intact barrel of coins ever pulled from a wreck! Discover the stories of those lost at sea and see what mysterious objects call to you. You can even read about the divers who brought each treasure back to the surface. They are open year-round and strive to make their amazing collection of artefacts accessible to everyone, so no matter who you are this is bound to be a brilliant day out!

Where can I learn about the history of shipwrecks in the UK?

The Shipwreck Treasure Museum in Cornwall has one of the largest and most intact collections of shipwreck artefacts, as well as information about the ships they were originally carried on and the fate of those wrecks.

Their team are happy to answer any questions you might have so don’t hesitate to ask. They are also dog-friendly, so you don’t need to leave your pets at home so long as they’re well behaved. They also have a bar and café on site so go no further than right outside the museum doors for your lunch or end of the day drinks with friends!

  • Tickets cost £6.50 for adults (over 18) and £4.50 for children (under 5’s go free)
  • Opening times are 10 am-5 pm daily (last admissions 4.30 pm)
  • Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment on busy days
