Where can I go for a night out in Edinburgh?

Head down to the Stand Comedy Club in the city centre to enjoy a good laugh and a drink, just half a mile out from Waverley Station.

Edinburgh is home to the world’s largest arts festival, the world-famous Fringe Festival for a reason – its art scene has been the place that has fostered renowned talents worldwide, and an important part of that has been comedy. The Stand Comedy Club, which also has venues in Glasgow and Newcastle, not only hosts the ‘Red Raw’ night, where newcomers to comedy come to develop their talent but well-known Scottish comedians, such as Kevin Bridges (Frankie Boyle has also been known to appear from time to time) often come to test out their new material.

  • All tickets are general admission, starting at £5.00 for the Red Raw show.
  • All shows are strictly for those over 18’s unless stated otherwise.
  • The venue is quite small, so is best booked only for smaller groups.
  • For weekend shows, tickets should be booked in advance. Weeknight show tickets can be bought at the door.
