The Hay Festival of Literature & Arts (also known as the Hay Festival), is an iconic literature festival that takes place annually in the small market town of Hay-on-Wye in Wales. It runs for 10 days in total and has been operating since 1988. Bill Clinton once described it as “The Woodstock of the Mind” – don’t think I could sum it up better myself!
Each programmed day during this festival is a thoughtfully curated mix of lectures, concerts, galleries, book readings, and even more! There’s so much to see, there’s bound to be something for everyone. People flock from all over the world to come to this festival, with some even describing it as one of the most prominent festivals in the UK. Some of their attendees include Stephen Fry, Sandi Toksvig, Margaret Atwood and many, many more!
