Ever wanted to give metalwork a try? Are you looking for an intriguing day course to challenge yourself and develop new skills? This is the course for you! Designed to be a quick introduction to the craft, where all levels are welcome, you will learn skills such as piercing, etching and more.

Practising these skills, you will be making a steel hare fashioned with a copper scarf! Doesn’t that sound riveting? If hares are not to your liking, then you can try making a Dachshund or a pair of mice. The studio, owned by your tutor Bryony, is nearby to many delicious meal spots! After class, why not indulge in a well-earned dinner?

    • The workshop is from 10 am to 4 pm

Bryony Knox

Bryony Knox is an experienced metalworker who specialises in silversmithing, especially the techniques of repoussé and chasing. Her work is noted for being elegant, glamorous and yet still very much functional, appearing as an art piece on the outside but on closer inspection reveals functionality, hidden secrets, engraving and intricate design and detailing. She has been commissioned for pieces by Princess Anne, JK Rowling and more.

Her workships are a great way to take a hands-on approach to learning about creative metalwork and silversmithing. Plus you will take home something that you have made!
