Where is King Richard III buried?

In March 2015 King Richard III burial site was discovered in a car park in Leicester. This site has now be turned into a fascinating museum dedicated to his life, a fantastic family day out, right in the heart of the city centre! The centre is right next to Leicester Cathedral, or a 10-15 minute walk from the train station.

The incredible discovery of these remains in 2012 in an unsuspecting Leicester car park, the gravesite of the last Plantagenet King of England, led to the construction of this centre. With exhilarating story telling and using state of the art technology, this centre tells the captivating story of King Richard’s life and death. Uncover the mayhem behind the War of the Roses to find out how Richard rose to power, and find yourself in the middle of the Battle of Bosworth as you feel the rumble of the fighting, in a faithful recreation where you’ll witness the King being cut down as he defends his crown. After experiencing all this history, you’ll need to take five in the White Boar café, with a tasty range of drinks and food available. The King Richard III Visitor Centre makes for an excellent family day out, or a great trip for any history buffs.
