16 fun things to do in Leicester

Leicester is the 10th largest city in England and with that comes a city bustling with exciting things to do and brilliant, friendly people. The city is very multicultural and this has led to Leicester being a hub of culture, food, religion and entrepreneurs in the midlands.

When in Leicester you have to try as many local restaurants as you can as the fusion of tastes of something different to anywhere else. There is also lots of fun activities to do due to it being a big student city with multiple universities and colleges. This also means there is great pubs all around town for you to discover.


Leicester also has stunning parks so if the weather is good then it is strongly recommended you check them out. Abbey Park has some lovely wildlife and Victoria Park has a great view of Leicester University which has some of the most famous buildings and architecture in the city. You can find some unique and brilliant musuems and art exhibits too, such as the Immersive Van Gogh Experience and The Newarke Houses Museum and of course the King Richard the Third visitor centre!


The city loves its sport so don’t miss out on seeing the Leicester City Football Stadium and the Leicester Tigers rugby stadium, Welford Road, which are hives of activity throughout the season and bring even more life to the city!
