Brugghús Steðja is a family-owned company in Iceland that started in 2012. Their brewmaster made their first two beers, their lager and the Icelandic northern lights beer, in the same year. Since then they have been releasing a lot of new types of beers!
They want their beer to have its own character, so no two types of beers should be similar. For their seasonal beers they want to grab the spirit of each season, so people can gather around to celebrate and say SKÁL! Steðji beer is not just a beer, it’s an alchemy of pure genius. Their brewer is a German professional, Philipp Ewers; a magician really.
In their tasting room, they offer you to taste their latest beers. They also sell souvenirs from their brewery. The tasting room is attached to the brewery. If you’re looking for something even more interesting, why not stay in a bungalow next to the brewery and drink beer. They just opened their accommodation there at Steðji´s farm. Their new ‘beer barrels’ are fully insulated and equipped.
They are in the possession of their own fountain of pure spring water. The water has been tested and proven to be among the purest and cleanest sources of water found in the world. They use their natural spring water as it comes from nature without adding any chemicals in their brewing procedure and therefore guarantees that all of their beers have that refreshing pure taste.
