Looking for a day out visiting a beautiful castle and estate? At the Drumlanrig castle, there are many activities to embark on. The castle itself has over 600 years of rich history and culture within its walls ready for you to go and see.

Why go to Drumlanrig Castle?

To enjoy its amazing history and its wonderful scenery. The 90,000-acre Scottish estate has miles of beautiful walks and acres of gardens. Activities for kids include everything from the adventure playground to ranger-led wildlife walks and a host of events. Other activities include MTB trails and salmon fishing.

The estate is home to a large and beautiful garden of 40 acres for you to enjoy and stroll through. While walking through the gardens you will get a chance to come across the adventure playground, a big play area that was built for children to enjoy and right next to it is the cafe. Up at the back of the gardens sits an old victorian summerhouse which is a great spot to stop and admire the scenes. there is also a victorian greenhouse you will pass that was built in 1877! With there being nearby walking and hiking in the countryside and even cycling routes there is something here for everyone.
