Mountain Biking in the Forest of Ae

Looking for a big day out on the bike? The Forest of Ae has a massive number of mountain biking trails of all ability levels weaving for miles throughout one of the UK’s largest forests. For beginners there are 5 miles of easy green trails on the Ae Valley route and an 8 mile long blue that winds through the forest. There is also a tricky red route featuring steep downhill and jumps as well as a number of exhilarating extreme marked orange routes that will test even the most experienced of riders.

Where can I find mountain biking in the Forest of Ae?

The trail centre at the Forest of Ae has a huge selection of mountain bike trails for all ability levels.

Take a break from the trails in the popular Ae Café or ramble along the miles worth of walking paths that meander around the beautiful water of Ae. You can even find space to park up a horse box and start the British Horse Society Countryside Trail.
