Experience a Norfolk Summer with a couple of nights away at Manor Farm campsite in East Runton, in a Bell Tent from the Little Beach Bell Company.

The tents – already set up for you – come equipped with everything you need (you can also add optional extras) for a hybrid stay away that falls somewhere between out-and-out grassroots camping and full-on-frills luxury glamping. A sort-of ‘demi-glamping’, if you will. Or camping, but without any hassle. You’re still on a campbed but off the ground. And you didn’t have to put your tent up and you don’t have to take it down. At the end of your stay, just tidy up a little, zip up the tent, and drive away. Easy peasy.

Manor Farm is an excellent location, and the tents have a hilltop position that serves up the most glorious views. On sunny days you can spend the afternoon lazing outside in the sunshine, while the kids play in the huge field, or in the playground on the campsite. There is no electricity in the tents (obviously, they’re tents) so you can experience truly being ‘off grid’.

The beauty of this large, gently rolling site is that it has gorgeous views of the sea, with the beach at East Runton —pebbly, with great rock pools — a short walk down the hill and through the village.

There’s a play area and space for football. The sugary thrills of Cromer are within walking distance: the old-fashioned seaside town is packed with amusement arcades, charity shops, fish-and-chip parlours and cafés full of old ladies enjoying tea and cake.
