Easdale Island Folk Museum

Are you interested in Folk History? Or are you looking for an interesting day out in Argyll and the Islands? Well then, look no further than Easdale Island Folk Museum! The island itself became an increasingly sought-after location with the birth of their Slate industry after the Marble and Slate Quarrying Company was set up there. The museum was founded in 1980 by Chris Nicholson and the first museum curator Jean Adams was herself a direct descendent of one of the famous Slate Quarrying families.
